I absolutely loved Paris & everything about it. We stayed in the area of Republique. Just around the corner were the best pastry shops you could ever imagine. My favorite places were the louis Vuitton foundation & The Paris Flea market. The Paris flea market has everything you could possibly want. I got many vintage graphics and jewelry. I got to Learn about the country by exploring its multicultural heritage, the continued presence of a past mired in slavery, environmental conservation efforts, and modern social and urban pressures. FAV SB PRODUCTSSaturday This weekend my roommate Carolina (from Portugal) and I went to Lake Como and Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy. We started our travels on Saturday morning, taking a train from Milan to Lago di Como san Giovanni. The train ride is only 30 minutes from Milan so it is nice for a quick trip. Lake Como is by far one of the prettiest places I have been. It was both mine and Carolinas second time going to Lake Como, but this time we went a different way and it was like seeing a whole new place entirely! It was pretty rainy, but it made the mountain and waters even more beautiful. We basically walked in circles the whole day throughout the town of Como not realizing it until we would go into the same store 5 times from a different entrance each time! We could seriously not stop laughing. Lake Como has so many bistros that have amazing looking and tasting desserts. So with that being said, knowing me, I went into almost every bakery, bistro and restaurant in Como. At the end of the day we met up with my other roommate Julie and her Canadian friend Andrew. They both enjoy photography so they took some pictures of me and Carolina. After another day of making incredible memories we went home and had a low key night to rest up for our adventure the next day. Sunday Carolina and I decided to continue our adventurous weekend and travel to Lake Maggiore. It takes about 1 hour 15 min to get to Stresa from Milan. Once we arrived we realized that there is not much to do. We walked around the whole town and then took a boat to “Fisherman Island.” On the way to Fisherman Island we got to see the beautiful Bella Island. Fisherman Island is very small so we saw It all in less than 1 hour. To pass the time we sat on a bench and basically stared at the water ~ not going to lie - it was very boring. We were so ready to go so we got on the boat to go back to Lake Maggiore. We only had 10 minutes to make it back BUT then the boat driver decided to take us to Bella Island without telling us and we didn’t realize it until we walked off the boat and realized we had no clue where we were. Hence, we missed the early train back home from Lake Maggiore so once we got back there we had to wait another hour for the next train. We waited in a café at the station that was full of angry Italian men yelling at the soccer game. That was the most entertained we were all day and was very interesting seeing how they got so into the game. Once we arrived back in Milan we went to the Garibaldi area and ate some really amazing pizza then went home. As soon as we got home it started pouring rain! Anyways, it was a very funny relaxed weekend!
